Flower Team
High Street has a team of volunteers who are responsible for the purchase and arrangement of flowers on behalf of donors on a rota basis. The team is always ready to welcome new members who have an interest in flower arranging. Members of our congregation choose to donate money or flowers on a Sunday during the year that has a special meaning to them (such as an anniversary or remembrance), or just because there is a gap on the list.

The flower team also decorates the church for Harvest, Christmas and at other times as requested; it also arranges flowers for weddings.

Outlook
A meeting for women (and any men who wish to join us). Meets every second Tuesday at 2.30pm in the Lecture Hall.

We have a varied programme with speakers on many topics, demonstrations of various skills and seasonal services.

We support Network - the national network of women of the Methodist Church.

We also support other charities via our speakers, thus living up to our name.

A warm welcome awaits you.

Walking Group
If you enjoy the countryside on foot, and in good company, why not join in one of the regular social walks advertised in the church notices?

They are usually held on the first Saturday morning of each month, from October to the spring, meeting about 10am at a local venue. The routes of up to five miles are selected and led by members of the group.Good footwear and sound waterproofs are often appropriate and moderate agility may be needed to cope with stiles of all shapes and sizes. Prior notices attempt to give the relative difficulty anticipated eg gradient, muddy conditions etc. We operate on a "turn up and go" basis, but if you wish to have more detail, or require a lift to and from the venue, give the designated leader a call.

We usually substitute a gentle Boxing Day family stroll for the January event, while a May Day Bank Holiday Monday bluebell walk and picnic to conclude our season has been popular enough to repeat for a number of years.

Shoppers Lunch
Everyone is most welcome to come; we meet on the second Thursday of most months at 12 noon, when a roast dinner and pudding is served. As this is very popular, tickets must be obtained beforehand and are available about ten days before, price £2.50.
